Our HSE Policy

People first.
Safety in every decision.

We are committed to protecting people, caring for the environment and delivering work responsibly.

At Clarion Steel Products Limited, health, safety and environmental care form part of how we plan, manage and deliver our integrated engineering services. This policy sets out the standards we expect across our activities and the responsibilities we share with employees, contractors and project partners.

01

Leadership & accountability

The Managing Director oversees implementation of our HSE and quality commitments. Project leaders translate these commitments into practical site arrangements, clear responsibilities and suitable supervision. Everyone working for or on behalf of Clarion is expected to take care of their own safety and the safety of others.

02

Plan the work. Understand the risk.

Before an activity begins, the team identifies foreseeable hazards, assesses the work environment and agrees appropriate controls. Work plans are reviewed when conditions, scope, equipment or personnel change. No schedule or commercial target should justify proceeding with an uncontrolled risk.

03

Safe systems of work

We aim to provide suitable equipment, competent supervision and task-specific instructions. Personnel follow the controls required for their work, including site access arrangements, personal protective equipment and applicable permit procedures. Equipment is checked before use, and unsafe conditions are reported promptly.

04

Health, wellbeing & competence

We support a working environment that considers occupational health, fatigue, hygiene and welfare. Personnel receive induction and training relevant to their responsibilities. Managers encourage workers to raise concerns early and seek appropriate support when a health issue may affect safe work.

05

Environmental responsibility

We plan work to reduce avoidable waste and prevent pollution. Materials and waste are handled responsibly, with attention to storage, housekeeping and the protection of surrounding land and water. The team considers efficient use of resources and the potential effects of activities on neighbouring communities.

06

Emergency preparedness

Project teams establish emergency arrangements suited to the site and communicate them to personnel. These arrangements identify reporting routes, evacuation or muster requirements and the people responsible for response. Emergency resources and readiness are reviewed as the work environment changes.

07

Speak up. Stop unsafe work.

Personnel are expected to report hazards, near misses and incidents without delay. Anyone who believes an activity presents an immediate danger should stop, make the situation safe where possible and notify the responsible supervisor. Work resumes only after the concern has been assessed and appropriate controls confirmed.

08

Learn & improve

Reported events are reviewed to understand contributing factors and identify corrective actions. Project teams track agreed actions and share relevant lessons. Management reviews performance, training needs and implementation of this policy so that learning informs future work.

Shared Responsibility

Safe delivery is everyone’s responsibility.

Management provides direction and resources. Supervisors plan and monitor the work. Employees and contractors follow agreed controls and report concerns. We work with clients and partners to understand site requirements and coordinate responsibilities before activities begin.
